Paul Lambrakis
Paul Lambrakis was born and raised in Long Beach, California and graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a degree in accounting. Paul first attended the horse races as a young teenager with his father and got to see the legendary Native Diver run on that day and has been hooked on horse racing ever since.
Paul was hired in 1996 by Santa Anita as a handicapper for their group events department and to host their beginner’s seminars and is still a fixture there. Paul was hired in 2008 by the Hollywood Park in the same capacity and has had the pleasure of working with such celebrities as Teri Hatcher and Salma Hayek.
Paul made a name for himself nationally when he wrote, “The 10-Cent Superfecta Guide” in 2006 and was invited to the 2007 Horseplayers’ Expo in Las Vegas for a book signing. In 2008, Paul published a new edition, “The “10-Cent Superfecta Complete Guide to Wagering and Winning,” which is still one of the better selling horse racing books around.
Paul has just completed work on his third book, "The Newcomer's Guide to Horse Racing”, which was released in late-August, 2010.
Paul has written for Horseplayer Magazine and has been a guest on Thoroughbred Connection, Race Talk Las Vegas and Thoroughbred LA and is also a frequent guest at racetrack handicapping seminars.
