Toby Callet is a South Florida based professional handicapper and credentialed media member with over 30 years of experience. He's the two-year-old pedigree analyst and author of "Callet's Calder Corner" at Calder Race Course in Miami, Florida. For over seven years, from his office high above atop the grandstand, Callet has had the opportunity to observe the live races unlike any other public handicapper. Every Winter the racing shifts over to Gulfstream Park. During this meet he observes the races from his vantage point above the Press Box. Callet has been the South Florida Observer for the "Ragozin Sheets" over the past seven years. Callet was the independent clocker who provided the corrected and accurate times to racing officials when the Teletimer malfunctioned at Gulfstream Park during the 1999 meeting. His findings and corrections were then reprinted in all Equibase and Daily Racing Form past performances. Callet's commentary for the circuits he covers (South Florida, Kentucky, Southern California, New Orleans) is featured daily on the Meadows Racing Network (Pennsylvania) which is seen nationwide on DirectTV, and for the Fox Sportsnet Pittsburgh. His creations "Road to the Triple Crown" and "Road to the Breeders' Cup" (which have also been featured on the network) have covered over 90 races a year over the past eight seasons. Toby Callet has long been a fixture in south Florida. Year after year, he has the best ROI of any public handicapper at the Gulfstream Park meeting. In 2005, he'll highlight three to four plays at the Gulfstream Park. Andy Beyer is a big fan. Toby also handicaps tracks around the country. His Kentucky Key Plays is a 2-page PDF document. The first page supplies a 1-2-3 + Longshot for each race, while the second page consists of three to four key bets. This product is available whenever Keeneland or Churchill Downs is open. Additionally, he focuses on Fair Grounds racing where he again concentrates on Kep Plays.
