Dillinger: Raced Evenly and Is Improving | Upcoming Race:Laurel Park April 21, 2024

Three year old colt for Bob Baffert made start #2 on Saturday at ¾ on the main for three year olds in a maiden special weight event. Off as the 3/5 choice in a field of six, he ended up being on the rail when that horse was scratched, and he didn’t have the best of trips under J.J. He was in tight down the back side just 3 lengths off the pace and the jock never could get him out until the ¼ pole. Then he ran on very well but couldn’t quite catch his stable mate who wired the field. I do believe he was best today. This one is bred to go long (Into Mischief out of a Medaglia d’Oro mare) and I wouldn’t be surprised if Baffert stretches him out next. He’s a soon winner.
