Foolish: 2nd in Much Needed Race Where 3rd Place was 6 Lengths Back

Three year old filly debut runner for Tim Yakteen, was entered for a $62,500 claiming tag on Friday at five and a half on the turf. Off at 4/1 in a field of 8, she broke OK under Prat and was about five off the lead down the back side. She put in a huge move at the ¼ pole to reach contention, then “hung” in the drive in a race she obviously needed. She ended up second in this race and it was a full six lengths back to the third horse. This daughter of Practical Joke is bred to win early and she’s a soon winner for a solid barn.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Foolish was cabable of.  We expected that if Foolish gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Foolish performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Foolish last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Foolish next start.  If Foolish appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Foolish will dominate the race.
