Ikigai: Held Well After Racing Along The Slower Inside Stretch

May have been long gone on a normal day or fairer track while on the lead, but he was racing along the slower inside in the stretch and did hold well to be beaten about one length. He finished in the Exacta in his previous three starts and he could show more stick next time out.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Ikigai was cabable of.  We expected that if Ikigai gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Ikigai performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Ikigai last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Ikigai next start.  If Ikigai appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Ikigai will dominate the race.
