Kiss My Kat: Solid Works but Broke Last at Start and Used Up Early to Tire Late Tough To Beat If Races Back to This Level

Four year old filly for Kristin Mulhall, who had not been to the post since October of 2021, made just the 2nd start of her career on Sunday in a state bred maiden claimer with a tag of $50K at ¾ on the main. She missed the start completely and broke last after working sensationally in the mornings. Curatolo then rushed her up on the inside and she actually had the lead by the half mile pole. She then widened her lead to two into the far turn, had four on the field by the 1/8 pole, but the poor start came back to haunt her late in the race. The jock used her way too early and she hung and tired late to finish second beaten two at the wire by a longshot. If she races back at this level, they won’t beat her next time.
