Queens Masterpiece: Chased Fast Pace with Trouble Can Improve

Had to chase a fast pace early and was shuffled back to last up the backstretch. Jock had to steer her clear of trouble around the turn and she made a nice little run when she found clear sailing. However, the filly was too far back to threaten for the win, but did run well to finish 4th. That was only her second start and she can improve with experience.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Queens Masterpiece was cabable of.  We expected that if Queens Masterpiece gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Queens Masterpiece performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Queens Masterpiece last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Queens Masterpiece next start.  If Queens Masterpiece appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Queens Masterpiece will dominate the race.
