Dwyer Stakes analysis/3yo Top 5

Code of Honor is the 4-5 morning line favorite in the Dwyer Stakes (G3) at Belmont Park on Saturday, July 6, 2019. He is currently ranked #4 on my Top Five 3-Year-Old List. I have been a fan for quite some time, but I think he might be vulnerable on Saturday. Check out my written analysis and updated Top 5 list below!

Dwyer Stakes (G3) Analysis from Belmont Park for Saturday (7-6-19)

BEL 6 (G3 Dwyer, 8f) #2 ROWAYTON (3-1) was strong in a local optional claiming sprint June 6 (field-best 149 CPR), and it was great to see him stalk and pounce that day. He might get first run under Joel Rosario. #1 Mihos (5-1) has not been seen since a flat 5th in the Holy Bull (G2) Feb 2. He won two straight before that, including a sharp win over Code of Honor in the Mucho Macho Man Stakes. He is firing bullets for Jimmy Jerkens, and he reconnects with winning rider Jose Ortiz. #3 Code of Honor (4-5) will take more money than he should. The consistent colt was placed 2nd in the Kentucky Derby (G1), and he was 3rd in the Florida Derby (G1) and 1st in the Fountain of Youth (G2) before that. This race is a starting point for the second half of his sophomore campaign, and he has only won one of his last five starts. Wagers: #2 to win, Exacta Box 1-2, Trifecta 1-2/1-2-3/1-2-3
