Greenbow: Look For A Winning Spot Soon

Five year old full horse for Richard Mandella tried the starter allowance for non winners twice on Saturday at six and a half on the turf. Off at 7/1 in a field of 10, he was bumped around at the start coming out of the one hole and was last early under Berrios. The jock kept him on the rail and he was about 8 lengths back of the leaders down the back side. He found a seam at the top of the lane, then dove to the rail at the 1/8 pole and finished strongly to just miss by a half at the wire. He galloped out well. This son of Runhappy is a late running sprinter and has really taken to the turf. This was only his 6th career start so he has some issues, but he is good enough to knock out this condition. Seems a natural for the hill with his style though he has never tried it. Look for the Hall of Fame trainer to find a winning spot for him soon.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Greenbow was cabable of.  We expected that if Greenbow gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Greenbow performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Greenbow last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Greenbow next start.  If Greenbow appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Greenbow will dominate the race.
