Neon Lights (IRE): Rallied Strongly Down the Lane And Just Missed By A Head Bob

Three year old gelding for Steve Knapp made his 3rd career start and 2nd off a layoff on Saturday in this maiden special weight affair for 3 and up at ¾ on the green. Off at 9/1 in a field of 9, he broke well under Pereira and laid 3rd down the back side about five lengths off the pace. He went after the leaders at the ¼ pole, rallied strongly down the lane and just missed getting up at the wire, losing a head bob. It was a strong performance for this Irish bred and his next start will be his 3rd off a layoff, often a horse’s best performance. He is sitting on a victory for the red hot duo of Pereira/Knapp.
