Ransomware: This One Sets Him Up Nicely For Allowance Conditions

Three year old colt for Phil D’Amato, off since December, made the 4th start of his career on Sunday in the ungraded Desert Code stakes at six and a half down the hill for three year olds. Off as the longest price in the field at 17/1 of the six. He broke OK under Vasquez, then settled in five lengths back of the leaders. The jock took him to the rail after the dirt crossover, and he put in a good run down the lane on the worst part of the course to get third, beaten two and a half at the wire. The two that beat him were one-two the entire trip. His best trip is a mile and he still has the 1st allowance condition available to him. This race sets him up nicely for that type of race. Look for the top turf trainer on the circuit to take advantage of this perfect prep race. Be ready.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Ransomware was cabable of.  We expected that if Ransomware gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Ransomware performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Ransomware last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Ransomware next start.  If Ransomware appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Ransomware will dominate the race.

Helpful Tip:  So that it’s easy for you to compare a horse’s past performance, Today’s Racing Digest’s Performance Figures for upcoming races are based on how we expect the horse to perform in that race regardless of any changes in race conditions.  Learn More:
